Colorado Special Operations Unit Inc (**formerly known as Denver Fugitive Task Force) is an elite Fugitive Recovery and Investigative Agency with over 25 years of combined experience in fugitive enforcement operations. All agents on the team have prior law enforcement and/or military backgrounds, and have carefully been screened and trained. All agents working with CSOU have training in excess of the Colorado requirements and must also submit to an extensive background check as well as drug testing requirements. The Founder, and Commander, Kevin Heely, has an extensive background in major case investigations and experience as a former Colorado Law Enforcement Officer. He has built and brought forth a highly dedicated team by bringing to this organization, his knowledge, training, and years of experience, from both public and private law enforcement. He is an IFPO “Certified Protection Officer” and has undergone training through local, state, and federal agencies, and also serves as a Colorado Certified Bail Recovery Instructor, a certified TASER Instructor, and a PPCT Defensive Tactics Instructor.

Colorado Special Operations Unit Inc, through its professional approach, has developed a vast network of resources throughout all of Colorado and surrounding states and takes great pride in the working relationships that have been developed. All training is conducted “in house”, emphasizing effective and safe operations, to limit the liability of the client. Colorado Special Operations Unit Inc operates with a high profile approach, which statistics have shown produces less confrontational apprehensions. To date, the task force proudly sports an 85 % apprehension rate following the reception of “fresh cases”, and they have been successful in the closing of many more “cold cases”.

** Re-organization occurred in July of 2008 and Denver Fugitive Task Force was officially reclassified as Colorado Special Operations Unit Inc.
